Helpful Kitties

While I was working in the sewing room yesterday, upholstering a fantastic daybed that I will show you when it's finished, Alice came in and made herself right at home in the middle of what I was doing.

I love this about cats.  They come in to remind us that life is not always about work and accomplishments ... sometimes one has to stop and appreciate the cuteness in life.

There's a whole lot of cute in this little furry package!

  2. I found your blog from Savvy Southern Style. I love this post. I'm an animal girl too. I love them all. I have three cats and they do teach you to stop, rest, play and have fun! Love this! Your blog is lovely!

  3. Such a pretty cat.

Sewing room. How many rooms do you have in that house?

  4. We have the usual number of rooms (for a large house) in our house. First floor: living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, office, one bathroom. Second floor: master bedroom, daughter's bedroom, grandson's room, sewing room, three bathrooms. Scary Basement: game room, workshop, laundry/boiler room, one bathroom.

The sewing room is my 'I can make a mess and close the door if I want to' room.

  6. That is too cute. Mine do that all the time, no matter what I am doing he feels the need to be the center of it all. :)

  7. Ha, she was just revealing the real reason why you were doing what you were doing -- to make her maximally comfortable!

  9. Ohhh, is that why the fur-babies plop right in the middle of every project? I always thought mine were saying, "Now, Mommy. Pay attention to ME now!!!" Alice is unquestionably beautiful. You must not get much work done.

  12. Why is that? They always have to lay right on the thing you are working on!
