I especially want to remind you to say a prayer for the families of service members who lost their lives in service to our country.
Be thankful for their sacrifice ... and hold your loved ones close.
I took these photos last week at Culpeper National Cemetery. The wreaths were laid by volunteers a few weeks ago as part of Wreaths Across America.
Thank you for this post. I was not aware of this program. I had to check out the link and found out if the national cemetery near us was participating. Because our son is buried there I want to find out more.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Connie. I think this is a wonderful program and I love the feeling it gives me to see how the fallen soliders are honored here. My own father was a medic in WWI and so I have always felt very connected to our service people.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas- xo Diana
Oh Connie,
ReplyDeleteThis touches my heart so!!!! My Daddy is at Bushnell National Cemetary, as many of our relatives are. Our oldest son, is now a Sgt in the Army at Ft. Lewis, Wa. and will leave for another tour in Afghan in June. Art is also retired officer from the Army. Thank you for remembering♥
I prayed as you requested for the warriors and for their families.

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours and a very Happy New year.
Connie these images always break my heart but also make it swell with pride. I am a Marine brat and so proud of the sacrifice others have made for my freedom.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Connie. My brother in law helped put wreaths out at our Veterans cemetery this year. It's a huge undertaking.

ReplyDeleteHow very beautiful touching to see all those wreaths! I wonder why some headstones didn't have any?
ReplyDeleteIt always moves me deeply to see the many headstones of those who have fallen while serving and defending our country.
