- My name is Connie, and I own Hartwood Roses ... an educational rose garden in Virginia that specializes in rare and unusual antique roses. I am a Certified Rosarian, a Master Gardener, a carpenter, a remodeler, and a dreamer. Hartwood Roses was a small farm nursery, located just north of Fredericksburg, Virginia. The retail portion of the business closed in 2012, and the mission shifted to my true love … speaking to organizations and garden clubs and giving classes to educate budding rose gardeners. The display gardens here contain over 800 different varieties of roses … with emphasis on rare and historic varieties, and popular classics that are well-suited for modern gardens. Sounds like something our dog would love.
When we lived in a big old row house in Pittsburgh, we had floor heat vents, and our dog would lie on top of them -- blocking OUR heat, and absorbing it all into her little body. When I picked her up, it was like picking up a hot potato. A furry one.
With legs.
So maybe not a potato, but you get the idea.
and our neighbor's Siamese would come into our house and nap on the stove, above the pilot lights.
I don't know how she didn't spontaneously combust.

Similar scenes here, but I felt sorry for ours having to lay on the ribs of the radiator, so I put a towel down for them. It was one of my few kinds acts toward a cat.
LOL... hey, I used to sit on the radiators too.
LOL....how cute! I love how she's stretched out warming the whole underside of her body. ;)
