My Favorite Photo from Yesterday

Saw this fuzzy fella at one of the properties that my husband and I toured yesterday, while on the Fredericksburg Garden Week tour.

I think that this sweet-faced Highland bull may soon find himself immortalized on canvas in oil paint ... hint, hint to my dear husband.

  1. Seen pics of men most of my life. Never wanted to kiss any of them.

This cow, needs a kiss !!

    Why, what is this thought?

Show us the oil when he's done.

    1. As soon as I saw this bull, I wanted to scratch between his ears and ruffle his bangs. His whole look is absolutely perfect … and, now that you mention it, his nose DOES look pretty kissable.

    1. I have been on the look out for a photogenic cow in good light ... not an easy thing to do, I found out. I'm glad that I had my 'good' camera with me, and that one of my photos captured exactly the look I saw when I first spotted this bull. The expression, the background, the light ... all perfect!

    1. My husband has been thinking about investigating how to make prints from his paintings. This may be the one that pushes him farther than just thinking.

    1. My husband agreed that this photo will make a fine portrait. I'm really glad, because I want a cow painting in the worst kinda way. I have sheep and chickens already ... a cow will make for the perfect trifecta!

    1. He listened, and he has already worked on the reference photo a bit, so it's going to happen! I have almost been stalking cows to get a portrait-worthy photo.

  9. You and your husband are a great pair: you capture a scene you like and he perfects it. I can't wait to see this bull on canvas, Connie.

    1. I wish it was that easy to get my husband to paint the pictures that I want, but he only agrees to do the ones that 'speak' to him. He has already played with this image a bit in Photoshop, and it's going to be a really nice painting ... when he gets the time to start it, considering that it's mowing season already.
