Here are the images from early Monday morning and Monday night ...
... and here are Tuesday's critters:
The most awesome photo from this set of images is this one, from mid-morning on Tuesday.
Having a sneaky trail camera on duty gives me a whole different idea of who's the boss around here. Not me, at least at night. This place belongs to the critters ... and I'm totally okay with that.
Is that a hawk or an owl? I really need to get one of these!
ReplyDeleteI'm almost positive that it's a hawk of some sort.
DeleteVery Cool! We used one of those cameras years ago to catch the guy who was smashing our mailbox. It worked!
ReplyDeleteTrail camera can, indeed, be used for any number of sneaky things. Catching vandals is a perfect application.
DeleteThe woods belong to the animals, day and night although I'm not crazy about the possum, skunk and raccoons living either under the porch or in the yard tree. Sure wish they'd move on.
ReplyDeleteWe get possums, skunks, and raccoons in the yard, though I don't know where they actually live. As my area builds up more and more, it will be interesting to see how wildlife patterns change.
DeleteAmazing, isn't it? I love all your captures but that last mid-morning one is quite amazing. Happy Wednesday- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that this new camera would activate and capture a swooping hawk like that. It's really cool.
DeleteWe got a camera too. It helped us figure out what was using our flower beds as toilets. It is ferral cats. Now to catch them . As long as it's animals I can deal with it o.k. Humans prowling at night would be my biggest fear. Looks like fox in one of your shots?
ReplyDeleteYep, a fox. My neighbor in the property behind us, close to where the camera was when I captured these images, has had issues with foxes stealing her chickens.
DeleteLots of activity around there! Was one of those a fox?
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a pretty big fox.
DeleteUnfortunately we don't have a trail camera, but I think it would be fun. Our wildlife photos would probably be very similar to yours, deer, fox, bear, and who knows who else. The land definitely belongs to them. xo
ReplyDeleteTrail camera images are infinitely entertaining. A few weeks ago, I had mine set to capture activity in the front yard. I didn't get any animals, but I did get 1500+ photos of cars in a specific spot on our road. :)
DeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteNow I want a camera too!
I used a camera like this at our last house in a subdivision. Amazing what type of critters prowl around when we aren't around to see them.
