Sunday Snapshot ... Sleepy Kitty

This is a photo of the scene immediately to my right early this morning.  I was sitting in my usual computer spot at one end of the bar counter that separates our kitchen and dining room, and Maggie was snoozing on the other end ... comfortably settled in on top of my pad of graph paper that has the sketch of the new Rose Field design that I have been working on.

Cats can tell the difference between the important papers and the everyday, run of the mill papers.  It's a gift that they have, I guess.

Let's not talk about the fact that she probably shouldn't be on the counter at all.

I don't have an outdoor cat anymore.  (all three of our cats are strictly indoor kitties.)  This is as close as I get to having the company of a cat while I work ... not that much work is getting done since she's sleeping on my pad.

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

  1. Love it Connie! Cats are safer indoors anyway. And its been my experience that cats and kitchen counters kinda go together, whether we like it or not! Have a great day in the garden, my friend!

  2. Jinx and i go round and round about him up on the counters or table...I think its turned into a kind of game actually...sigh...for him..lol.....

Once in a blue moon i'll catch him...cause he KNOWS hes not suppose to be up there so he tries to be slick and hop down when he hears me comin' but i can hear his big butt hit the ground so he's not so slick . :) Then there are the little foot prints i see on the side of my stainless steel frig so i know he gets up on top the frig for some reason...probably just because its up high and he CAN...

So we've come to accept certain facts...... He won't jump on counters or tables in front of me and i'll ignore that he gets on them when i'm not around...lol...By the way he's an indoor kitty too......and is allowed on the bed, couch and windowsills..... :) Hugs! deb

  5. Looks like Muffin, the calico in my husband's family.

Not a 'people' cat she loved sleeping with me when I stayed at mil's house.

    Fond memories.

Garden & Be Well, XO Tara
